Katie-George Dunlevy with gold in Paris. She will given a Civic Reception in Donegal Town on June 12
Donegal Co. Council are to hold a civic reception to honour the sporting exploits of Katie-George Dunlevy.
The reception is planned for June 12th at the Public Services Centre, Drumlonagher, Donegal Town.
The para-cyclist who represented Ireland at the last three Paralympics, winning gold on each occasion, is daughter of Mountcharles native, John Dunlevy, and is a regular visitor to the area with the family.
Katie-George has returned with her Paralympic medals to Mountcharles after her success at Rio de Janeiro in 2016, Tokyo in 2021 and Paris last August, a magnificent achievement over a long period, and she is not finished yet.
She was back in action at the weekend in the first of the World Cup events for 2025 in Ostend, Belgium and along with tandem partner, Linda Kelly, took gold in the Time Trial on Friday and bronze in the Road Race on Sunday in Bruges.
UCI World Champion Katie-George Dunlevy and partner Linda Kelly will now head to Maniago, Italy for the second World Cup event from May 15-18.
