Donegal anglers play key role in helping Ireland to gold at Home Internationals

Two skilled young anglers from Donegal played a key role in helping Ireland secure gold at the Four Nations Youth Home International held in Scotland over the weekend.

Colm Coyle, from Crossroads, Killygordon, and Zack Barnett, from Porthall, Lifford - both aged 17 - were part of the Irish Trout Fly Fishing Association (ITFFA) youth team, which claimed its fifth title in a row.

Zack, who served as Vice Captain, comes from a family with a strong fishing tradition and is the son of Yvonne and Mark Barnett. Colm, also from a fishing background spanning four generations, is the son of Anita and Kieran Coyle. The pair were joined on the winning team by Jacob Griffin and Lewis Harte Porter from Strabane.
