Jack Porter of Premier Darts Club, Letterkenny, won the coveted JDC volts title on Sunday at the Premier Darts Club in Letterkenny.

Jack defeated the talented Christian Ennis from Northern Ireland 4-1 in the final to clinch the title. Jack raced through the last 32 in Ireland and Northern Ireland, where the elite of Irish and Northern Irish youth darts players competed.

Jack now qualifies for the JDC Volt Finals in Coventry next weekend, with the winner picking up a cool £6,000 pot as well as a chance to play on the PDC grand final stage at the Grand Prix later in the year.

Jack's travels do not stop there. He will also travel to Gibraltar in November to compete at the World Youth JDC Finals. Busy times ahead.

A fantastic day of darts was on show at Premier Darts Club Letterkenny as they hosted the JDC Volts Regional Finals.

This was the first time such an event has been hosted in the county. With players coming from the four corners of the Island of Ireland, the talent on this small island of ours was evident from the first match until the final.

A thank you from the organisers went to Councillor Tomas Sean Devine for taking the time out to present the trophy to the winner.

Councillor Devine commented that he was ‘honoured and privileged to be asked to present the finalists their cups.’

He went on to say about the day: "What an exhibition of Darts. There was everything from the 180's to ton+ finishes. What I watched today was 32 top-class teenagers throw Darts that you would watch on TV. Outstanding."
