Medals galore for Donegal Tug of War Club at the British and Irish Championships

The Carndonagh Women's 405kg team that won gold

Donegal Tug of War Clubs won four titles at the British and Irish Tug of War Championships in Bedford at the weekend.

The Carndonagh Tug of War club took titles in both the Men’s and Women’s sections at the Bedford International Athletics Stadium, while Clonmany Tug of War Club also picked up two Men’s titles.

Carndonagh Men’s team took the gold medal in the Open 600kg, beating Country Club in the final.

And the Women’s team also were gold medalists, winning the Open 405kg.

The Clonmany team won gold in both the 680kg and 640kg Open club competitions on Sunday.

Donegal competitors also helped Ireland to silver in the Men’s 680kg, while Ireland also took silver in the Women’s final against Wales.
