Mark English has been selected for two events at the forthcoming World Athletics Indoor Championships.
The Finn Valley AC man is part of a 19-strong Irish team that will travel to Belgrade for the Championships, which take place from March 18-20.
English has started his 2022 well, retaining his Irish indoor 800m title recently.
English goes in the 800m in Belgrade and has also been listed as part of the 4x400m relay squad.
Last month, English won a 400m race at the NIA Live Meet, running an excellent final lap to finish in a winning 47.21 seconds.
In an 800m at the Copernicus Cup in Torun, Poland, English was sixth in 1:46.89.
Letterkenny AC’s Teresa McDaid will be the other Donegal native to go as part of the Team Ireland side. McDaid has been confirmed as the Team Manager of the Irish delegation.
