Mona McSharry will represent Ireland at the 2022 European Championships in Rome.
McSharry is on an 18-strong Irish team confirmed by Swim Ireland.
The Championships run from August 11-21 in Italy.
Grange woman McSharry, a graduate of the Marlin’s Swimming Club in Ballyshannon, reached the 100m breaststroke final at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, finishing eighth.
The 21-year-old, a student at University of Tennessee, ended 2021 with a bronze medal at the World Short-Course Championships in Abu Dhabi, claiming third in the 100m breaststroke final.
