Stunning success for Nemo Special Olympics Swim Club in Belfast

The Nemo Special Olympics Swim Club had sensational success at the recent Swim Ulster Open Disability Swimming Championships.

The Championships were held at the Lisnasharragh Leisure Centre in Belfast and the Nemo Special Olympics Swim Club returned with a stunning haul of 15 medals.

Marie McGloin scooped three gold medals while Anna Hennessy left with a gold, two silvers and a bronze.

Eoin Rooney helped himself to a gold and two silvers with Eimear McGuckin capturing three silver medals.

Joe Kelly and John Shovlin also landed bronze medals to make it a really memorable meet.

The Nemo athletes were delighted with their racing after all the hard training sessions and enjoyed their return to competition.

The Nemo Special Olympics Swim Club train out of the Finn Valley Leisure Centre and were accompanied by head coach Sinead Donagher.
