Results and pictures: Hundreds take part at Finn Valley AC primary schools cross country

Over 800 pupils took part in the primary schools cross country at Finn Valley AC on Wednesday afternoon.

This was the first full day of the primary schools cross country at Finn Valley AC since the Covid-19 pandemic. The 2020 version fell due to the restrictions while the 2021 event took place across two days to ensure compliance with public health measures.

McGonagle said: “Credit must go to the schools and the teachers who have engaged so positively with the return of schools cross-country competitions.

“The success of the schools competitions has always been down to the schools and the teachers for their active, positive engagement over the years.

“The organisation was first class and great credit to all of the team at Finn Valley AC for rolling out another successful event like this. It drew a very positive response from all the schools who engaged.”
