“The response indicated the obvious desire and the need for this event,” Finn Valley AC Chairperson and former Irish Athletics team manager Patsy McGonagle said.
“Teachers and the sports leaders in schools welcome this so well every year. It is well received on a yearly basis and offers a great chance to get organised after the summer break. It is encouraging for us to see schools locally and also from Sligo, Monaghan and Omagh, come to take part.
“This is an exciting year for cross country in Donegal with the nationals being hosted by Cranford in November.”
