Conall Boomer and the Chicago Hounds have taken a Major League Rugby play-off berth after a 33-19 win over Anthem RC at the American Legion Memorial Stadium on Saturday. 

The Hounds led 28-5 at the changeover and even though the hosts rallied in the second period, Rosbeg native and former Ardara GAA senior footballer Boomer, and his teammates held firm. 

There is still plenty to play for though in the league’s remaining fixtures as the Hounds look to book a home play-off advantage.
