Gary Boylan has become the latest member of Finn Harps' 2022 squad to confirm that he won't be returning this year.
The versatile Boylan spent the second half of last season on loan from Galway United, but the 26-year-old has signed for Sligo Rovers.
Boylan, who made 13 appearances for Harps in all competitions, returns to the Showgrounds, where he came through the Sligo Rovers Academy after signing from Mayo club Erris United.
After making over 100 appearances for Sligo, Boylan had spells at Cork City and Galway United before joining Harps.
Following Harps' relegation, Boylan has opted to move on.
“I am delighted to be back at Sligo Rovers again,” Boylan said as his return to Sligo was announced.
“I enjoyed every minute in my last spell at the club and, I know what it means to the supporters.
“I am really looking forward to the season ahead and hopefully getting the club back into the European places again.”
Sligo Rovers Manager John Russell is delighted to add Boylan to his roster. He said: “He is two footed, aggressive in the way he defends, and has the ability to get forward and put dangerous crosses into the box.”
