Letterkenny schoolboy Keelan Pyper had a day to remember on Saturday when he was one of Celtic’s mascots for the Scottish Cup final.

Keelan is a second class at Lurgybrack NS pupil and was paired with Celtic midfielder Daizen Maeda for the formalities at Hampden Park. Celtic overcame Inverness 3-1 thanks to goals from Kyogo Furuhashi, Liel Abada and Jota to seal an eighth domestic treble - a feat that no other club in world football has ever managed. Celtic had already sealed the Scottish Premiership and the Betfred Cup earlier in the season.

Keelan had a brilliant day in the sun on Glasgow’s southside and got to meet the Celtic players and manager Ange Postecoglou.

“Well, what a way to end the season with my son being mascot for Celtic FC we had an unreal day yesterday,” Keelan’s dad Tony posted. “Thanks to Denis O’Donnell of Letterkenny No1 supporters club and Donie Mc Intyre Association of Donegal Celtic Supporters for making this day happen.”
