Goalkeeper Rory Kelly has returned to Finn Harps - and is straight into the team for this evening’s FAI Cup clash at Kilbarrack.

The Buncrana man has been named in the starting XI as Harps face Leinster Senior League outfit Kilbarrack at Greendalele Road.

Kelly was previously on the books at Harps in 2012 and 2013.  Kelly, who will turn 32 next month, replaces Tim Hiemer in the Harps side with the German understood to be carrying an injury.

Kelly’s inclusion is the only change to the Harps side from that which started last week’s thrilling 4-3 win over Cobh Ramblers at Finn Park.

His return to Harps had not been announced by the club until the publication of the team.

Kelly was a star turn in the Buncrana Hearts side that went unbeaten to win the Jackie Crossan Premier Division in the Inishowen League last season. The Hearts also won the Ulster Junior Cup.

Previously, Kelly played for several seasons at Letterkenny Rovers, featuring in the 2016 FAI Intermediate Cup final, which saw the Cathedral Town men beaten by Crumlin United.

He began his senior career at Derry City having come through the ranks of his native Buncrana.
