Marc Walsh aims to get his Ballymena United career off to a positive start on Friday night as they begin their NIFL Premiership season underway.
The Sky Blues take travel to the Showgrounds to take on Coleraine in the 2023/24 opener.
Loughanure man Walsh is one of the new faces recruited by Jim Ervin, who has taken over as manager from David Jeffrey, who left the club in May.
Walsh makes the move from Dungannon Swifts and, after impressing in a recent friendly against Ballymoney, will be hoping to feature on Friday when his new outfit turn out on the Ballycastle Road.
Previously on the books at Swansea City, Walsh came through the ranks at Gweedore Celtic.
Having spent some time at Finn Harps prior to moving to Swansea, Walsh was at Derry City for a time in 2021 before Dean Shiels brought him to Dungannon in January 2022.
The 22-year-old is a Republic of Ireland underage international and was announced at Ballymena along with TJ Murray and Sam Johnston.
Ballymena were ninth in the League last season while Oran Kearney’s Coleraine were sixth.
