Ballybofey United FC's home at Dreenan.
Ballybofey United are planing to add two new playing pitches to their Dreenan base.
The club has sought permission for the development of a new 100x60m pitch and a 60x40m floodlit all-weather pitch.
Planning permission has been applied for by the club with documents, in the name of Ballybofey United FC Chairperson Derek Ralston, lodged with Donegal County Council.
The proposed development would see the construction of a 100x60m pitch with ball stop fencing to its east and west boundaries.
Ballybofey United also want to add a 60x40m all-weather pitch to include perimeter fencing and floodlights.
A new vehicular entrance with car parking and turning area is also part of the proposal while the club is seeking to extend an internal access roadway.
Donegal County Council say that a decision is expected to be made by October 29.
Ballybofey United purchased a 3.5acre site at Dreenan in 2015. The club’s adult men’s teams play in the Donegal Physiotherapy Division 2 and Old Orchard Saturday Division 2.
