Derry City continued their pre-season preparations with a win over Finn Harps at the Brandywell this evening.

Derry City 2-0 Finn Harps

The Candystripes took the lead on 26 minutes when defender Mark Connolly headed in from Michael Duffy's corner.

There was a real moment of controversy just before the break when both sides became involved in a melee when Harps left back Kevin Jordan caught Sadou Diallo with a very late tackle. The defender was cautioned as a result.

A series of substitutions were the only highlight of the second half until Derry City doubled the lead, Ben Doherty firing home after a one-two with Sean Patton.
