Donegal Underage League team
The Donegal Underage League 2010 team as well as Letterkenny Rovers 2014 boys have arrived In Spain where they will partake in the Barcelona Cup.
The teams have been planning this once in a lifetime journey since July 2023. The teams are in Barcelona for four nights with the tournament starting on Saturday for two full days with teams from all around Europe entering the competition.
The Barcelona Cup is an international youth football tournament for boys and girls, held in Salou and Cambrils area in the south of the city.
Last Christmas the teams came together to organise a fundraiser to help ensure that all the players could afford to go without burdening the families.
Letterkenny Rovers will start their campaign by taking on fellow Irish side Leicester Celtic FC, before facing Workington Red from England and then finishing off by playing Salvesen FC from Scotland in Section C.
The Donegal Underage League team are divided up into Yellow and Green. The Yellow side will have three competitive games against AM Football Escola of Sweden, Montrose Youth Whites from Scotland, and FR Haguenau A from France.
While the Green team will play FR Haguenau B, HIK C from Norway, and Pro Football Coaching from Northern Ireland.
