Iarlaith Duffy was part of the Ballyraine FC squad that won the Donegal Youth League for the first time on Wednesday night.

Ballyraine picked up three points from a walkover victory over a Raphoe/Killea who didn't field and then learned that the side who were top of the table going into the last set of fixtures for the campaign, Bonagee United, had been beaten 2-1 at Drumbar. It meant the Ballyraine side managed by Enda Nicholls and Kyle Maloney won the title by a single point.

"Winning any league is an achievement but when your son Iarlaith Duffy lifts a league cup named after his grandad - the legendary soccer man DIck Duffy - is extra special for the Duffy family," Iarlaith's father Jarla posted. "Well done Ballyraine Youths FC."
