QPS honour late Carn FC player Tiernan Doherty with a heartfelt tribute

In a heartfelt tribute before their recent match, Quigley's Point Swifts honored the memory of the late Tiernan Doherty by presenting a memorial plaque to Carn Youths.

The presentation was made by Quigley's Point Swifts' captain, Denim McLaughlin, to Carn Youths' captain, Dylan Cooke.

Tiernan Doherty, a talented young footballer from Carndonagh, was a cherished member of Carn FC. 

Doherty died in a tragic road accident on December 1, and has been remembered as a lovely young man and a multi-talented footballer. 

The 18-year-old died in a single-vehicle crash near Buncrana on the Inishowen Peninsula at 5am. He was the only occupant of the car. 

The memorial plaque presented before the game serves as a symbol of unity and respect between the two clubs, reflecting the close-knit nature of the football community in Donegal.
