Republic of Ireland U-19 manager and former Finn Harps player Tom Mohan recently visited Traigh-a-Loch to conduct a coaching session with Mulroy Academy and during his visit, Mohan reconnected with his former Harps teammate and ex-Fanad United player, Paddy McGrenaghan.

During his visit to the club, Mohan provided two and a half hours of elite-level coaching which incorporated a pre and post-session meeting as well as working with 18 of the club's players in a live coaching demonstration session.

Mohan, who hails from Fermanagh, enjoyed a successful playing career with clubs including Derry City, Finn Harps, and Longford Town before transitioning into coaching.

He has been involved with the Football Association of Ireland for several years, serving as an FAI Development Officer and later taking charge of the Republic of Ireland U-19 team in 2016.

Mulroy Academy, based in the Fanad Peninsula, has been providing youth football opportunities since its establishment in 2002. The club has earned recognition for its commitment to player development, and in November 2024, it became the first club from Donegal to receive the FAI Club Mark Two Star award.

Mohan’s visit further reinforced the academy’s dedication to high coaching standards and player progression.

His reunion with McGrenaghan added a nostalgic touch to the occasion, bringing together two players who once lined out for Finn Harps.
