ATU hit back almost immediately, with Bronagh Gallagher setting up Caoimhne Heron for the equaliser. Heron then put her side ahead just before half-time with a stunning long-range strike that rattled in off the crossbar.

After the break, ATU took full control. Loughrey turned provider once again, setting up Herron for her hat-trick, before the in-form striker sealed the victory with a composed one-on-one finish with 15 minutes to play.

The triumph marks ATU Donegal’s first O’Regan Cup title since 2018, capping off a memorable performance led by the outstanding Herron.
