Shane Blaney in the colours of Sligo Rovers
Letterkenny's Shane Blaney has signed for Scottish Premiership club Livingston from Motherwell.
Having come second in the Championship, Livingston were promoted to the top flight following a dramatic 4-2 comeback win over Ross County in the second leg of the play-off final in Dingwall, which sealed a 5-3 aggregate success.
"We are delighted to announce capturing the signature of defender Shane Blaney who joins us from Motherwell," Livingston FC posted. The centre-back makes the short journey east and is the fifth summer recruit. Welcome to West Lothian, Shane!".

Dubliner Graham Carey and Connor McLennan were announced as new signings last week, with Zak Rudden and Steve May having also penned deals.
Blaney, now 26, played for Illistrin and Donegal Schoolboys and whilst at Finn Harps in 2017, made three senior appearances, having represented the Ballybofey club's U-17 and U-19 sides. He joined Doncaster Rovers in 2018 and played on loan at Tamworth, Grantham Town and Blyth Spartans and then returning to the north-west with Sligo Rovers, before joining Motherwell in early 2023.
