Fanad United has launched its bumper draw just in time for the festive season.

The two-time FAI Intermediate Cup winners and seven-time Donegal League Premier Division winners have been gradually improving the infrastructure at their home ground in Traigh-a-locha in recent years.

And they now hope to use funds from the draw to offset loans the club has used for these improvements.

Club secretary, Sean Canning, speaking at the official launch in the Silver Tassie, thanked the local community for their support over the last few years.

"Since our return to the Donegal League in 2021, we've been trying to ensure the club's facilities have been improved to meet the needs of the modern game.

“We have upgraded the floodlights, dressing rooms and purchased new equipment to ensure a top-class facility that is available year-round to our own teams as well as underage teams in the local area.

“We have received grant funding through Donegal County Council and the National Sports Capital Fund over the last few years.

“But the local community, as well as the wider soccer community, have given us great financial support to enable us to continue on this journey.

“We're hoping to use income from the draw to address long-term borrowings and ensure that the club remains in a stable financial position to keep improving".

The club would also like to take the opportunity to thank its prize sponsors for the draw.

First prize is €2,000 with a large number of other prizes also up for grabs. Tickets are priced at €10 each with discounts for multiple purchases.

These are now available through any club member. Full details are available on the club's social media pages.
