The Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair team before the All-Ireland semi-final
Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair 2
Balla Secondary School 2 (Balla win 5-4 on penalties)
Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair suffered penalty shootout heartbreak in the All-Ireland ‘B’ small schools semi-finals in Ray McSharry Park on Monday.
The North West school went ahead through Charlie Ó Gallchóir on 38 minutes, and they kept that lead at half-time.
But the Mayo school hit two goals in just over ten minutes through Sean Brohan and Sean McCann.

It looked like the Connacht champions were going to win in the 90-minute period, but an 89th-minute leveller gave Gaoth Dobhair hope thanks to Brian Mac Phaidin.
But it was disappointment in the shootout, as Balla won 5-4 on penalties.
