St Columba’s College, Stranorlar, lost out after extra-time in the semi-finals of the FAI Schools Dr. Tony O'Neill Senior National Cup on Tuesday.

The side, managed by Oisin McMenamin and James Atcheson, took the lead at the home of Gurteen Celtic against Connacht champions Claregalway College in the Under-19 semi-final thanks to an early goal from Cian Thompson.

But the Connacht side got an equaliser in the final ten minutes through David McLaughlin to force the game into extra-time.

And McLaughlin made it 2-1 quickly in the third period, although Callum Long levelled the game before the end of the third period.
