The ATU Donegal ladies retained the O’Regan Cup with a dominant 9-0 win over MTU Cork at the Athlone Town Stadium on Thursday afternoon.

Bríd McGinty’s side led by four at the break and continued that same form into the second half, with Caitlin Fletcher and Keri Loughrey in top form.

Fletcher hit four of the ATU goals, while Loughrey grabbed a hat-trick, with the other two goals scored by Caitlin Doherty

ATU Donegal were relentless in pursuit of retaining the O’Regan Cup after winning it in Sligo last year with a 5-2 win over Queen's University.

Thursday’s win made it a double for the season for the team, after winning the Division 1 league title in December.
