Away days for Cockhill, Bonagee in Intermediate Cup quarter-finals

Cockhill Celtic and Bonagee United will both be on their travels in the quarter-finals of the FAI Intermediate Cup.

Cockhill will travel to Bluebell United in Dublin while Bonagee United have been paired with top Munster Senior League side Rockmount.

The draw was conducted at FAI headquarters by Republic of Ireland manager Stephen Kenny on Tuesday afternoon.

Jason Gibson’s Bonagee United will make the long journey to Cork as the Dry Arch Park side take to the last eight stage for the first time.

Both Cockhill and Bonagee had penalty shoot-out wins at the weekend in the round of 16 games.

Gavin Cullen’s Cockhill saw off Liffey Wanderers on penalties after a 0-0 draw on Sunday while Bonagee were winners on spot kicks following a 2-2 draw against Everton AFC.

1. Maynooth University Town v Malahide United/Carrigaline United

4. Rockmount v Bonagee United
