LyIT bow out of Lydon Cup with quarter-final defeat

LyIT who lost out to UCD in the Lydon Cup quarter-final.

Letterkenny Institute of Technology bowed out of the Lydon Cup after suffering defeat at UCD on Tuesday.

Johnny Baird’s team were defeated by the Dubliners in a quarter-final.

On International Women’s Day, players from the two squads came together to celebrate each other.

On the pitch, it was UCD who came out on top to ease into the semi-finals.

Lovisa Lindquist netted twice with Emma O’Donnell and Aoife Robinson also on the mark.
