Bonagee United found the going tough when they lost out to Cork City in the Evoke.ie Women’s FAI Cup at Turner’s Cross on Sunday.

Lauren Singleton opened the scoring nine minutes in to give City a 1-0 lead. City doubled their lead in the 19th minute as Christina Dring scored. Aoibhin Donnelly made it three before the break when she rounded Niamh Mailey.
Chloe Atkinson scored with a great finish from a tight angle before Eva Mangan added a fifth goal.
Zara Foley made it six when he scored from a header before Mailey in the Bonagee goal saved a penalty from Laura Shine on 69 minutes. However, Shine would make up for that miss when he tucked home following a Mangan corner.
