Dale Gorman helps Barnet go top of National League

Dale Gorman is in his first season at Barnet.

Dale Gorman started on Tuesday as Barnet overcame his former club Yeovil to go top of the National League.

Gorman moved to Barnet this summer having played for Yeovil last season.

The Letterkenny man played 76 minutes in Tuesday’s 2-1 win at Huish Park.

The 26-year-old was snapped up by Dean Brennan having scored four League goals for Yeovil last season.

Previously, Gorman lined out for Stevenage, Leyton Orient and Newport County and also had a season with Glentoran in the Irish League.

Nicke Kabamba netted twice in the second half with Jamie Reckord setting up a big finale when he struck in the 80th minute for Yeovil.

Ronan Curtis was on target again for Portsmouth as they claimed a big 4-1 win over Cambridge at Fratton Park.

Curtis put Pompey ahead in the 60th minute after Colby Bishop cancelled out Joe Ironside’s opener for Cambridge before Michael Jacobs and Connor Ogilvie added further goals. Portsmouth are up to third in League One.

Curtis was also on the mark in last week’s 3-0 win over Cardiff in the EFL Cup.

In League Two, Stephen McLaughlin started in Mansfield’s 5-2 home win over AFC Wimbledon while Georgie Kelly came on as a 71st minute substitute in Rotherham’s 0-0 draw at Preston North End in the Championship.
