Special Needs charity seeks approval for Letterkenny day care centre

Bluestack Special Needs Foundation seeks permission from Donegal County Council to convert McKendricks Place office floor
A Donegal Town based special needs charity is seeking planning permission from Donegal County Council for a proposed day care centre in Letterkenny.
Laura Cassidy, the CEO of the Bluestack Special Needs Foundation, is the listed applicant for the submission, applying for the change of use of a first-floor office unit at McKendrick Place, Pearse Road, Letterkenny, to the proposed day care centre for the Bluestack Special Needs Foundation services, including all associated site works.
The Bluestack Special Needs Foundation are an organisation that was founded in 2002, originally meeting for hikes at the Bluestack Mountains, and fundraised to improve services available to children with additional needs. In 2006, the organisation became a registered charity, and moved into their current offices in the south of Donegal Town in 2008.
In September, Donegal County Council granted planning approval for the change of use of McKendrick Place’s third floor to provide 10 apartments.
Donegal County Council has set a decision due date for the submitted application for December 22.
