St. Eunan's in U-16 semi-final

Donegal U-16 champions, St Eunan’s, are chasing a place in the Spirit of Paul McGirr final when they face O’Donovan Rossa, Magherafelt, in Dromore on Saturday. (throw-in 12noon).

St Eunan’s won their opening game last Saturday also in Gardun Park, Dromore, when they emerged 7-15 to 3-5 winners over Fermanagh champions Derrygonnelly Harps.

Conor O’Donnell, Darragh Ellison and Padraig McGettigan with two each, and Michael Gallagher scored the goals for Padraig Ryan's side.

O’Donnell and Ellison also capped good individual performances with four points each while Peter McEniff, Shane O’Donnell and Sean Breen also got their names on the score sheet.

O'Donovan Rossa, the Derry champions, booked their place in the last four with a narrow three point win over Clann Eireann, from Lurgan, in Armagh.

The winners will play either Killeeshill, the Tyrone champions or the Down champions Warrenpoint, in the final, the following weekend.
