Cross-channel watch: A good week gets better for Killybegs man

Seamus Coleman nets late equaliser for Everton

A week on from captaining the Republic of Ireland to a famous win over Austria, Seamus Coleman headed a late equaliser to earn Everton a point at home to Swansea City on Saturday.

The Killybegs man popped up in the final minute at Goodison Park to steer a looping header into the net to make it 1-1.

It was a good day too for some of Donegal's other cross-channel contingent.

Stephen McLaughlin played for Southend United who won again, this time 3-0 at home to Bradford City in League One.

Ramelton's Conrad Logan retained his place in goal for Rochdale and he kept a clean sheet in a 4-0 win over Swindon Town.

In League Two, Stevenage won 1-0 at Accrington Stanley with Letterkenny's Dale Gorman starting the game in midfield.

Shay Given was substitute goalkeeper for Stoke City who lost 1-0 at home to Bournemouth.
