Thunderstorm warning for Donegal from 3pm this afternoon

Donegal County Council have issued a Thunderstorm weather alert which will run from mid afternoon today (Wednesday) until later into the evening.

The ‘Moderate Weather Warning’ from Met Eireann indicates that localised thunderstorms with heavy downpours are expected between 3pm and 9pm this evening.

Potential Impacts could see some spot Flooding, difficult travelling conditions and poor visibility.

Many Donegal fans will recall the thunder and lightning in Clones on Sunday and the deluge of rain that affected fans, players and the pitch for a period, so brolly up if you are out today and be careful.

The yellow status warning also includes a number of other counties including Clare, Kerry, Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Sligo.
