It'll be cool and dry for most today with plenty of sunshine and just the odd isolated light shower in Donegal today, Monday.

Cloud will build into parts of the northwest later, but holding mostly dry for daylight hours. Highest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees in a light variable breeze.

Dry in most places early tonight with clear spells, but becoming increasingly cloudy, with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle spreading southeastwards, followed later by clear spells and scattered showers.

Lowest temperatures ranging from around -1 to +2, with some frost early in the night, but less cold further west. Winds will be mostly light variable, becoming light to moderate southwest or west and increasing fresh at times in some coastal parts.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, will bring a mix of sunshine and scattered showers. Some of the showers will be heavy, with a chance of hail. Becoming breezy, with west to northwest winds increasing moderate to fresh and gusty, veering northerly later and becoming stronger. Highest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees, but feeling colder, with an added wind chill factor.
