The Corner Bar in Falcarragh granted planning permission from Donegal County Council

A Falcarragh pub has obtained planning permission from Donegal County Council for the retention of a beer garden that was described as an “unauthorised development.”

The listed applicant, Sally Whoriskey, successfully submitted the application for The Corner Bar in Falcarragh for retention permission of an unauthorised development, ancillary to the main bar, consisting of a beer garden with single-storey structures within the site, including a timber-screened fence along the rear boundary.

Planning permission was also being sought for picnic tables and benches to be positioned on the footpath.

Donegal County Council granted permission for the proposals with five conditions, including a condition imposing that the applicant or beneficiary of the permission should pay a contribution of €1,471.37 in respect of public infrastructure and facilities benefiting development in the area of the Planning Authority that is already provided or is intended to be provided by the Authority.
