New recycling facilities available on Derrybeg estate

Cllr John Sheamais Ó Fearraigh welcomes new facilities

A new recycling facility has opened on the Derrybeg industrial estate in Gaoth Dobhair. The new facility opened this morning.

People can get rid of their bottles and cans at the facility. There are facilities in place at Molloy’s Supermarket in Gaoth Dobhair.

Sinn Féin Councillor John Shéamais Ó Fearraigh said that both facilities will continue to work in tandem with one another.

Cameras are due to be erected at the site in the new year. Cllr Ó Fearraigh thanked Údarás na Gaeltachta and Donegal County Council for delivering the project.

“Those who work on the estate can get rid of their bottles and cans here. Cameras will be erected next year,” he said.

He urged people to take cardboard boxes and bags away from the site and keep it clean.

“There will be cardboard facilities available next year,” he said.

More containers are due to be delivered at the site.
