Letterkenny Golf Club is set to host a Charity Singles Stableford Competition on Friday, September 12, in aid of the Little Blue Heroes Foundation.

The open competition is welcoming both ladies and gents, with entry priced at €20 per person. The event promises not only a great day of golf but also the chance to support an inspiring cause.

The Little Blue Heroes Foundation is a volunteer-run charity, founded and supported largely by serving and retired members of An Garda Síochána. Its mission is to assist families of children with serious illnesses in Ireland, offering both financial and practical support during extremely difficult times.

Among the foundation’s most touching initiatives is the granting of honorary Garda status to children battling life-threatening conditions. Known as Little Blue Heroes, these children are presented with their own Garda uniforms and invited to take part in Garda-related activities, fulfilling their dreams of becoming part of the force while creating lasting, joyful memories for them and their families.

By taking part in the competition, golfers will be directly contributing to this vital work and helping to bring comfort and happiness to children and families across the country. Bookings for tee times can be made through the Letterkenny Golf Club reception. Organisers are encouraging as many people as possible to take part, reminding participants that every swing on the course will make a real difference.
