Dunfanaghy Family Resource Centre to host Open Day this Thursday

The Dunfanaghy Family Resource Centre (FRC) is inviting the community to explore its comprehensive range of services and meet the dedicated team at an upcoming Open Day on Thursday, October 30.

The event is set to run from 12 PM to 2 PM at the FRC headquarters located at F92VY13.

The Open Day is an ideal opportunity for residents to see how the centre is "growing together" with the community. Visitors will have a chance to check out the centre's brand-new website and collect a copy of its latest strategic plan, offering insight into future goals and initiatives.

This is a chance to not only explore current offerings but also to better understand the strategic direction of this vital, Tusla-funded local resource. Attendees are encouraged to pop in, say hello, join the team for a cuppa, and enjoy some light refreshments.

A key focus of the afternoon is learning how to get involved—whether by volunteering, sharing skills, or simply connecting with neighbours and staff. The Dunfanaghy FRC relies on the support of volunteers to help run its essential programmes. Specific volunteer roles currently being sought include members for the FRC Board, drivers for the Meals on Wheels service, helpers for Youth Club activities, and Beach Buggy Support Volunteers. Engaging with the centre is a practical way for individuals to contribute directly to the well-being and strengthening of the local community.

All are welcome to attend this important event to learn more about the support structures available in the area. Mark your calendars for Thursday from 12 noon to 2pm, and make your way to the Dunfanaghy Family Resource Centre for an informative and welcoming afternoon.
