The coffee morning will take place from 10am to 2pm
A coffee morning will take place in Bundoran in aid of survivors of domestic abuse.
The coffee morning will be held in Bundoran Community Centre on Monday, April 13 from 10am until 2pm. It will raise money for Hopeful Handbags Global NonProfit, which assists survivors of domestic abuse, their children, and dating abuse from abuse to safety, health, wellness, and long-term sustainability.
Bundoran Community Centre has advised those who wish to come along to bring a “gently used” handbag with hygiene essentials and other useful items. The list of suggested items includes full size shampoo, full size conditioner, deodorant, lotion, notepad or journal, hairbrushes, tampons, writing pens, razors, hair ties and hair clips, and socks.
Handbags may also include extras such as makeup (mascara, lipstick, eyeshadow, nail polish), make up case, combs, toothpaste, toothbrushes, Chapstick, nail clippers, maxi pads, tissues, hand sanitiser, Handi Wipes, pocket calendar, jewellery and scarves.
Organisers are encouraging people to add a handwritten card with an inspirational thought or quote, and volunteers who wish to write cards can get in touch with Bundoran Community Centre.
