St Patrick’s Day. Many of the band members this year are new young recruits. Also included in the photo is the Keadue legend, Pat Anthony

Ward, 81, the band’s oldest member whose career in the band goes back to the successful Keadue Band of the 1950s. Paddy Ferry, the band’s leader, once again made the trip from Edinburgh with his son, Patrick, to join the band and to celebrate their feast day on Irish soil.

Following Mass, the band also performed at the Burtonport Community Centre in Acres and in Dungloe where they entertained the patients in the hospital. Photo courtesy James Boyle.
