Former Naomh Bríd man Gallagher wins Meath SFC title with Wolfe Tones

Gallagher played the full game as Wolfe Tones won their third ever Meath county title
Former Naomh Bríd man Ross Gallagher was part of the Wolfe Tones team that won the Meath Senior Football Championship on Sunday.
The Ballintra native started at half-back for the club in their 1-19 to 0-12 win over Donaghmore/Ashbourne to claim just their third ever title after 2006 and 2021.
Caolan Ward top-scored with six points as Tom Gavigan got their goal.
That goal was the difference at the break, leading 1-8 to 0-8, but Sáran Ó Fionnagáin and Thomas O’Reilly notched a few points each after the restart to continue building the lead for their third Keegan Cup.
Gallagher is a son of Donegal’s 1992 All-Ireland winning full-back Matt Gallagher, but has been playing for the Meath amalgamation club from the parishes of Oristown and Kilberry.
Gallagher was part of the team that won the All-Ireland Senior Gaeltacht final against Termon in 2025 in Ráth Chairn.
He also scored a goal in this year’s final, but they lost out to Gaoth Dobhair in Kilcar.
