The 2012 All-Ireland winning midfielder is in his second year in charge of his native St Eunan’s, for whom he generated plenty of praise for his tactical astuteness in upsetting Naomh Conaill in last year’s Donegal SFC on a 1-11 to 0-4 scoreline before losing out to Maghera’s Watty Grahams by a point in Ulster.
Kavanagh’s first cut at management was taking Donegal to victory in the 2018 Buncrana Cup.
