Nathan Boyle (Aodh Ruadh)
Aodh Ruadh’s rise to finish third in Division 1 of the All County League in their first season back up in the top flight was one of the talking points and surprises. They competed very well against the three big clubs - Kilcar, Naomh Conaill and St Eunan’s. This came after reaching the quarter-finals of the Donegal SFC last year, also in their first season back in that grade. One of their most consistent players throughout that time has been midfielder Nathan Boyle, one of those naturally gifted footballers.
He has played county football at minor level and now has the chance to impress at an even higher level. His ability to soar into the air for a high catch is what really marks him out, but he is also a very good scoretaker, from play and from frees and he has that natural athleticism to get up and down the field. Whoever comes in as county manager will want to take a look at Boyle.
