In Pictures: Donegal Town Basketball Club marks 40 years of sporting excellence

Founded in 1985, the club has grown from humble beginnings into a thriving organisation that continues to promote basketball at all levels across the region.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, the club is delighted to announce the induction of four outstanding members into the Donegal Town Basketball Club Hall of Fame. These individuals have made exceptional contributions to the club over the years through their commitment to coaching, administration, and the development of young players.

This year’s inductees are Stephen Carty, John Kennedy, Martina Ryan and Paddy Muldoon. 

Reaching 40 years is a wonderful milestone for Donegal Town Basketball Club. It’s a testament to the dedication of our players, coaches, volunteers, and supporters past and present. The Hall of Fame recognises those who have given so much to make this club what it is today.

The anniversary celebrations included a special gala evening in the Abbey Hotel, where past and present members gathered to celebrate the club’s history and achievements. Some had travelled from as far as the US for the celebrations.
