'When you get stuck with a dose' - Cristiano Ronaldo unimpressed beside Conor McGregor at boxing

Boxing fans watching Anthony Joshua's big fight with Otto Wallin in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night have been quick to poke fun at Conor McGregor who appeared to be irritating football great Cristiano Ronaldo at ringside.

The UFC legend and former Manchester United and Real Madrid star were seated next to each other at the all-star fight and McGregor appeared to be giving Ronaldo an earful of his thoughts on the contest. 

Deontay Wilder had earlier been defeated by Joseph Parker before Anthony Joshua outclassed Wallin in the headline fight. 

It's fair to say Ronaldo, who now plays for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, was unimpressed with all the unsolicited chat from McGregor. 

Fans were quick to spot it and turn McGregor into a meme for chewing the ear of the Portugal legend.

Another joked: "Bet Ronaldo was delighted to have this fella spitting in his ear all night," while a third wrote, "Ronaldo knows it’s a long night for his right ear."

Another viewer added: "McGregor is a *sort* of genius. He has made me feel sorry for Cristiano Ronaldo. That’s something."
