Eric Roberts gets spooky as Dancing With The Stars spins into Fright Night

Eric and Arianna are hoping to impress with a creepy Charleston to ‘Happy’ by Derek Martin blending upbeat rhythms with a spooky twist

The ballroom is about to get a fright as the remaining nine Dancing with the Stars couples prepare for Fright Night.

For Donegal, however, we have only one contestant on our minds, Ireland AM presenter from Glen, Eric Roberts.

Eric and his partner, Arianna Favaro, wowed the live and at-home audiences with their showstopping dance last Sunday. Dancing to the song ‘Clocks’ by Coldplay, Eric chose to dedicate this dance to his nephew Oisin, who suffers from cerebral palsy and autism. This emotional and heartfelt dance managed to score Eric a well-deserved 34 points from the judges.

There’s no doubt Eric will impress once again when he takes to the floor this Sunday for Fright Night. It has now been confirmed that Eric and Arianna are hoping to impress with a creepy Charleston to ‘Happy’ by Derek Martin blending upbeat rhythms with a spooky twist.

This Sunday’s episode promises chills and high stakes with the season’s first Dance-Off. The two couples with the lowest combined scores from the judges and the public will be forced to go head-to-head. For one couple, however, Fright Night will mark their final performance, making the pressure impossible to ignore.

After topping the leaderboard during last Sunday’s Dedicated Dance Week, Rose of Tralee Katelyn Cummins and pro partner Leonardo Lini are safe this week with immunity.

As for the rest of the contestants, The Traitors Ireland star Paudie Moloney will don his famous green cloak once again to dance a petrifying Paso Doble to ‘The Traitors’ theme tune by Sam Watts, alongside his pro partner Laura Nolan.

As well as Olympic rower Philip Doyle, who will be hoping he and partner Daniela Roze can bounce back after their low-scoring Samba last week, with a terrifying Tango to ‘Bad Case of Loving You (Doctor, Doctor)’ by Robert Palmer.

After earning the first tens of the season last Sunday, The Apprentice UK star Jordan Dargan will be hoping to continue his lucky streak, dancing a scary Samba alongside his pro partner Rebecca Scott to ‘I Want You to Freak’ by Rak-Su.

Fair City star Stephanie Kelly will dance a spooky Salsa with pro dancer Ervinas Merfeldas to Cascada’s ‘Evacuate the Dancefloor’.

Nationwide host Anne Cassin will be joined by partner Robert Rowinski for a spine-chilling Jive to ‘Can’t Tame Her’ by Zara Larsson.

Eurovision winner Niamh Kavanagh and pro partner Stephen Vincent will take on a paranormal Paso Doble to ‘Danger! High Voltage’ by Electric Six.

Finally, singer-songwriter Tolü Makay will dance a bloodcurdling Contemporary Ballroom with Maciej Zieba to ‘Bring Me to Life’ by Evanescence featuring Paul McCoy.

All that remains is for the stars to take to the dancefloor with everything they’ve got and hope the judges reward their efforts.  Dancing with the Stars can be streamed on RTÉ One at 6:30pm this coming Sunday.
