A series of screenings of a film to commemorate the centenary of the First World War will take place in several locations around the county through October and November.
Donegal County Museum in association with the Imperial War Museum as part of the First World War Centenary Partnership have already hosted screening of “The Battle of the Somme” in Letterkenny and Fort Dunree in Inishowen.
This Thursday they will host a screening at Finner Camp for army personnel and their families.

On October 20 it will be screened in Dungloe Public Services Centre, in the Balor Theatre, Ballybofey on October 22 and on November 11 it will be shown at a special Armistice Event in the County Museum in Letterkenny.
Donegal
Over 80 men from Donegal died of the first day of the Battle of the Somme in July 1st, 1916.
The landmark film was shot and first screened to the public in 1916 and was the first feature length documentary about the war.
The screening are free and are part of the Donegal County Museum’s programme of events to commemorate WW1.
