A west Donegal coffee shop has made the decision to close due to “ongoing maintenance and structural issues” - although it is open-minded on the possibility of a relocation.

Deirdre Sharkey, who took over the business last April, and the Time & Tide Annagry team thanked everyone in the locality for their support as they posted the news that their last day at the current premises on Main Street is Sunday, January 18.

“It’s with a heavy heart that we need to share some news,” they said. “Due to ongoing maintenance and structural issues with our building, we’ve made the difficult decision to close our doors. This isn’t a decision we’ve taken lightly, but the issues are beyond our control and make it impossible for us to continue operating here.

“We're hoping that this isn’t goodbye forever, so if anyone knows of a suitable space or location that would be a good fit for a café, or has any leads we should explore, please get in touch with us. We’d be incredibly grateful for any help or suggestions.

“We are so incredibly grateful for every customer who has walked through our doors since we took over in April. Your support has meant more to us than we could ever put into words.
If you have a voucher from us, please make sure to come in and use it this week before we close.

“If you're unable to use your voucher in time, don't worry - we will absolutely honour it and provide a full refund. Just get in touch with us in-store or online and we'll make sure you're taken care of. Our last day will be Sunday, the 18th. We would love to see you one last time before our doors close, for one last cuppa. Deirdre and the Time and Tide team.”
