A west Donegal man will stand trial on two sexual assault charges.
The man, who is aged in his 40s and cannot be named for legal reasons, was before Falcarragh District Court.
Garda James Doran gave evidence of serving the book of evidence on the man at Letterkenny courthouse.
Insector Seamus McGonigle told the court that the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has directed that the accused be forwarded to the next sitting of Letterkenny Circuit Court, which commences on May 2, 2023.
The man is charged with two counts of sexual assault on dates unknown in 2014 and 2016.
Judge Éiteáin Cunningham issued the alibi warning and made a section 56 order relating to tapes of interviews.
Legal aid was granted to solicitor Mr Rory O'Bein and two legal counsel were assigned.
Judge Cunningham issued a publication order in the case, meaning the accused cannot be named in order to protect the identity of the alleged victim in the case.
